Mural by WD
Knowledge Speaks, Wisdom Listens – Mural by WD – Athens, Greece

This incredible owl mural was created by street artist WD (Wild Drawing) for the Petit Paris d’Athènes art festival 2016.

The owl symbolises wisdom while also being a symbol for the Greek goddess Athena. This mural clearly stood out at this festival since for this reason, since the city of Athens is named after her.

WD tells us how “the owl as a bird is famous for its exceptionally good far vision, particularly in low light. Nowadays Greece is experiencing a really dark phrase and I think it’s time for us here and around the globe, to recall this creature’s wisdom.”

Mural by Okuda San Miguel
The New Mona Lisa – Mural by Okuda San Miguel – Paris, France

This magnificent mural was artist Okuda San Miguel‘s tallest yet. Standing at 50 metres high and taking less than a week to create, this mural is an amazing example of the contemporary art that is out there in our world.

This mural is recognised by many as it is a modernised version of the famous Mona Lisa painting, which is also why it is on the side of a Paris building.
