Sam Mason is the chef behind the authentic, quirky ice cream creations at New York City’s beloved scoop shop, Odd Fellows Ice Cream Co. Trained at Johnson & Wales and having held previous positions alongside Alain Ducasse, Paul Leibrandt, and Wylie Dufresne, Mason partnered with Mohan and Holiday Kumar in 2013 to open their flagship location in Brooklyn and a second shop in the East Village shortly followed. Mason is the recipient of Star Chef’s “NY Rising Star” award, James Beard Award nominee, and his work has been praised by The New York Times, Food & Wine Magazine, Bon Appetit, and more.
